The Local Initiatives Fund offers assistance for community projects. We can provide funding up to $5,000.00 for projects that promote community economic development.

Project Funding Qualifications

• Are you part of a community project that will develop our economy, our community, and our quality of life?
• Is your project based in our region? (Link to Our Region)
• Does your project meet our priorities of youth, exporting, distribution, technology, e-commerce, business initiative, or community project?

• Pre-feasibility projects
• Research projects
• Community ICT strategies and projects
• Projects to promote innovation and new technology
• E-commerce promotion
• Development of online business services
• Environmental assessment reports
• Small scale capital projects
• Seminars/workshops
• Marketing promotional activities
• Community tourism events
• Other community-based economic development projects
